Someone must pay.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard briefs the media Wednesday, July 23 on the key individuals involved in the “Russia Collusion” story.

I’m sure you’ve heard the expression, “bringing the receipts.” It means that someone is offering solid proof of an allegation or accusation.

I think the expression is already overused so I promise to use it just this once when I say that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard brought the receipts Wednesday that objectively prove what most of us have long known.

Top officials in the Obama administration – to include CIA Director John Brennan, FBI Director James Comey, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper along with other key players – one of whom was President Barack Obama himself – engaged in a criminal conspiracy to nullify the presidency of Donald Trump even before it began.

The “Russia Collusion” hoax, as it came to be called, was just that – a hoax. It was meant to make Americans believe that Donald Trump, with the help of the Russian government, stole the 2016 election. The goal was to delegitimize Trump’s presidency.

The Russia Collusion hoax led to the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel and an almost two-year investigation. For 22 months, the Trump administration was deliberately distracted from pursuing the president’s agenda while the Trump-hating media salivated and drooled about pending “bombshell revelations” and walls that were constantly “closing in.”

Then Robert Mueller delivered his report, and it was a complete…nothing.

But by then it didn’t matter. The purpose had been served. The stink of the whole thing created the kind of voter weariness that Democrats desperately needed in the 2018 midterms. Republicans lost the House of Representatives in that midterm cycle and Trump’s first term as president effectively ended as Democrats went on an investigation and impeachment spree.

The entire episode is a political scandal without parallel in the nearly 250-year history of the American republic. Prior scandals, including Teapot Dome, Watergate, Iran-Contra and the impeachment of Bill Clinton, wither to nothing in comparison.

And here’s the key thing that much of the commentariat is either missing or under-appreciating.

“Russiagate” isn’t really about Trump. It’s about the fact that with respect to deciding who should be president, a tiny cabal of political elites in very powerful positions arrogated to themselves the presumptive right and power to substitute their judgement ahead of the expressed will of the American people.

It’s about a complete repudiation by top government officials of our federal republic form of government.

It’s an expression of utter contempt for We the People who comprise that republic.

It’s elitist condescension on a cosmic scale.

It’s an outrage of titanic proportions against the very Constitution that all involved took oaths to “preserve, protect and defend.”

And it went all the way to the very top.

No, I don’t think Barack Obama will be going to prison. But somebody needs to. The country is tired of the Hillary Clintons and the James Comeys and all the rest of this scurrilous lot committing serial outrages and getting away with it.

For the health of the republic, there must be consequences.

This time, someone must pay.

From the beginning, I found the left’s claim that Donald Trump was involved with the Russians a absurdity. I also believed from the beginning, along with millions of others, that those saying Trump was a Russian stooge knew from the get go that they were lying to the American people. Legacy media eagerly joined in the lie, at further cost to their credibility. These are sleazy, untrustworthy people, including the queen of sleaze, Hillary Clinton, who was foundational in creating the lie, along with a former president, Barack Hussein Obama, who was likewise directly involved.

All such should be prosecuted for crimes against the nation.

This myth was debunked during Trump’s first term; but since the almost the entire media was lined up against him, and impeachment and Covid dominated we forgot all about it. But now that this information has come out; it is time to stop the dilly dallying and do something about this treasonous act. Someone (many) must pay the price for the lies, deceit, and coup attempt.
This is not a small set of crimes; this is an execution by firing squad crime. President Trump better recognize the gravity of this one.
Great job Paul and thank you for all you do!!!!

A large portion of voters are like a herd of sheep. They are content to simply “follow the leader” and make no decisions for themselves. Therefore, the loudest voice becomes the director of operations. The minions blindly fall in line. The elitist leaders know this and prey on them through fear and hatred, our strongest emotions. Great leadership accomplishes great things. It is up to the people of this country to decide where we want to go and who will get us there.

I totally agree, all should be punished but history proves nothing will happen. Like Admiral James O. Richardson warning FDR about docking all our Pacific fleet in Pearl Harbor or FDR’s internment of over 100,000 US citizens, or Lyndon Johnson’s handling of the war in Vietnam that contributed to the death of over 58,000 US military, Waco, or Bill Clinton’s sexual escapades in the Oval Office, or Obama’s handling of what happened in Benghazi, or Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. If any of the above had happened on Trump’s watch, the press would have come alive and crucified him but because all of the above were democrats, nothing happened and it will be the same with all the things Tulsi is exposing. Sad!
