How dare this guy!

Last weekend marked yet another installment of Trump-deranged lunacy. This time it was aged out hippies and George Soros-funded rent-a-mobs across the country staging what were dubbed as, “No Kings” rallies. The premise being that Donald Trump is acting as an unelected monarch, imposing his malign will upon a subjugated citizenry.

That’s rich coming from the Left. It was under Joe Biden, our farthest-left president since Woodrow Wilson, that the FBI targeted parents who expressed themselves in unacceptable ways at school board meetings (unacceptable being defined as expressing opinions contrary to leftist-dominated teachers unions). It was that same Biden administration that successfully pressured social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, et.al. to censor content posted by those objecting to administration policy (a backdoor way of circumventing the First Amendment). It was leftist governors like California’s Gavin Newsom, New York’s Andrew Cuomo and Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer who shut down businesses, banned church services and funerals and effectively put their entire populations under house arrest in the name of “stopping the spread” of COVID.

It’s Democrats that want the power to decide what kind of house you can live in, what’s acceptable with respect to raising your kids and what kind of car you can drive.

In short, it’s the Left that wants monarchial power. Not Republicans and not Donald Trump.

Here’s what’s really going on – and it’s not complicated.

Democrats hate Donald Trump.

Their hatred far transcends any dislike they’ve ever had for any other Republican president. It’s visceral. And what really lies at the root of that hatred is that Donald Trump in 2016 dared to derail the coronation of Hillary Clinton. He then had the audacity to refuse to buckle under massive abuse of the power of the justice system to bankrupt him and put him in jail. Instead, he had the effrontery to get himself decisively elected a second time in 2024.

And decisive it was.

Trump won the popular vote by nearly 2.3 million votes. He won all seven battleground states. He won a majority in more than 86 percent of all the counties in the nation, with more than 90 percent of counties shifting toward Republicans.

What’s worse is that Trump siphoned off significant numbers of minority voters that Democrats once could take for granted.

It was a clear and unmistakable victory.

Trump ran on closing the border, ending endless wars, shrinking the size of government, reducing the regulatory burden, and lowering the cost of energy.

Literally within minutes of being sworn in he set about keeping those campaign promises.

The border is secure. Only one war of the nine that were raging on Inauguration Day is still going on. The ranks of federal employees are being thinned. Thousands of regulations have been stricken from the books and gasoline stands today at a five-year low.

The voters are getting what they voted for. If that’s not democracy, what is?

Monarchial tyranny it certainly isn’t.

It’s simple, really. Trump is succeeding. That’s what has the left in a tizzy.
