Death by Narrative.

YOU TELL ME TEXASw/Paul GleiserDeath by Narrative

In 2020, when George Floyd – a black man – died while in police custody in Minneapolis, the Democrat-Media Complex (the “DMC”) looked at the video of that death and leapt into action.

Maximizing illumination of the bad actions of police officers (and one officer specifically who behaved particularly badly), but totally ignoring the bad actions of Floyd (who wouldn’t have encountered the police that day if he hadn’t tried to pass a counterfeit $20 bill), they set about inflaming public opinion.

They succeeded.

That summer saw riots in cities across the country that cost dozens of lives and billions in property damage. It was thanks to George Floyd that we got the Black Lives Matter movement, one of the greatest grifts in American history.

For an entire summer that carried over to the 2020 presidential election, liberal America – to include the media – was all about “justice” for George Floyd.

Fast forward to August 22 of this year.

Iryna Zarutska, a white 23-year-old young woman who came to America three years ago to escape the horrors of war in her home country of Ukraine, boarded a light rail commuter train in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Already on that train, seated directly behind where Ms. Zarutska chose to sit, was Decarlos Brown, Jr., a 34-year-old black man and career criminal who, given the frequency and severity of his multiple felonies, in a sane world would have been behind bars.

As with George Floyd, there was video. It is shockingly graphic. Mr. Brown, with no provocation of any sort, takes a knife out of his pocket, rises behind a blissfully unwitting Iryna Zarutska, and proceeds to savagely stab her to death.

In the same way that Democrats looked at the George Floyd video and decided upon a course of action, the media and Democratic North Carolina governor Josh Stein looked at the Zarutska video and also decided on a course of action.

That course of action was to clam up and hope the story would go away.

Ms. Zarutska was murdered on August 22. Fox News ran a story on it on August 25. But none of ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN or the Washington Post had anything on it until social media coverage forced their hands this week. Governor Stein didn’t break his deafening silence until Monday.

Why?

Simple. Because the Iryna Zarutska murder doesn’t fit the Democrat-Media Complex “Narrative.” According to “The Narrative,” systemic white racism against black people is everywhere. Thus is explained the disproportionate numbers of black people, as compared to the total population, who are incarcerated.

Ergo, “restorative justice” demands that black criminals be given more lenient treatment throughout the criminal justice process from arrest to trial to sentencing. Which all means that Decarlos Brown, Jr., despite a lengthy criminal resume, was free to ride a commuter train – and brutally murder an innocent 23-year-old woman.

Two questions.

How many more people – black, white, brown, whatever – is The Narrative going to kill? When will the malign purveyors of The Narrative ever be called to account?

Even more harrowing than the brutal killing of Ms. Zarutska is the assassination of Charlie Kirk in front of thousands of college students and the responses that followed. Kirk was the founder of Turning Point USA and had a huge following. His assassination MUST BE THE TURNING POINT FOR THE ENTIRE COUNTRY!!!! NO LONGER can we just allow these things to be acceptable. Also, certain people are even CELEBRATING his demise! George Bush stated that you are either on our side or their side after the 9/11 attack, and the same is true today. Are you going to help SOLVE the problem or BE the problem?!

    A. Charlie Kirk encouraged dialogue, the last speed bump before we get to civil war. There are some who think they’re ready for that progression because they lack understanding and are wise in their own eyes. I pray we get another Charlie Kirk, because I’m not ready to continue politics by other means.
    B. You can’t apply Lean Sigma to prisons. If you parole sociopaths because you don’t want to house them where they belong, the predictable consequence of that is recidivism that costs lives. If your local county jail refuses to accept parole warrant arrests, there’s a very, very serious public safety threat in your county that has to do with money.

And yet there iare no riots, burning or looting
