Having announced her candidacy for president, Mrs. Clinton is out peddling the predictable twaddle. Included therein is the running liberal theme of “income inequality.” Said Mrs. Clinton,
”There’s something wrong when CEOs make 300 times more than the American worker.”
Alright, Mrs. Clinton, some people are going to go for that but I won’t. First of all, only a very small number of CEOs make stratospheric amounts of money. They’re running the largest enterprises on the planet and the competition for people with the skills necessary to do that kind of work is fierce. Pay rises accordingly.
Besides, if you lump in every single CEO of the Fortune 500 you’re talking 500 people out of nation of 315 million. That works out to fifteen hundred and eighty seven ten millionths of one percent of the population – here that is in numerals:
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average salary for the chief officer of an American corporation is a bit less than $200,000 per year. Which is a third less than what Mrs. Clinton gets for an hour delivering a platitude-laced speech about income inequality.
This garbage is coming from a woman who recently starred in her own contrived visit to a Chipotle in Ohio. In an effort to look like she’s one of us she got out of her van that was parked in a handicapped space, ordered and choked down a burrito bowl and then, having been thus photographed, left without talking to the employees or leaving a tip.
Proving again what I always say: there is no greater hypocrite in the galaxy than a rich liberal.
