How big a deal is Hillary emailgate? Ask Ashley Madison.

AshleyMadison.com is a commercial website devoted to helping married men and women engage in extra-marital affairs. Implicit in the offer of such services is the proposition (you’ll forgive the expression) that the website is secure. There is just no way that a business devoted to helping people cheat on their spouses could survive if its customers didn’t believe that their use of that business would remain confidential.

I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that given the choice between having their banking information exposed or their use of the Ashley Madison website exposed, most Ashley Madison users would choose the former.

Thus one can imagine that the IT department at Ashley Madison dot com spent an enormous amount of time and money and effort on security.

And yet, the website got hacked. Close to 40 million users now risk having their Ashley Madison profiles exposed publicly via the Internet.

AshleyMadison.com is doomed.

Jump to Hillary Clinton’s private email server, which we now know she kept in the basement of her Chappaqua, New York home. As we learn nearly every week, every web server in the world containing sensitive information is susceptible to being hacked. Among the most tempting of targets is the government of the United States. The U.S. secretary of state has to be in the top five worldwide of hacking targets by bad guys and governments who are hostile to the United States.

Very, very smart people, working at the behest of very, very bad people, spend all of their waking hours trying to penetrate the innermost circles of people like the secretary of state.

Thus, is there anyone who seriously believes that the domain “clintonemail.com” wasn’t hacked? If Citicorp and Target and Adobe – who all spend millions on IT security – can be successfully compromised, is there any realistic chance that Hillary’s server in the basement of her home wasn’t?

The implications are enormous. One can only assume that Mrs. Clinton chose to transact all of her official business on her own private server, rather than the State Department’s dot gov server, so as to be able to hide whatever she chose to hide. If the government is never in possession of the data, it can never comply with a Freedom of Information Act request.

So assuming the server was hacked – which is a virtually 100 percent safe assumption (just ask Ashley Madison) – and assuming that Hillary has things she wants to hide, how can anyone believe that a President Hillary Clinton wouldn’t be subject to blackmail by actors such as say, the Russians or the Chinese?

With such a threat constantly looming, how does a President Hillary Clinton protect the interests of the United States? How does she stake out a strong position against the predations of a Vladimir Putin if he possesses the means to make her back off?

Consider that question and when you’ve come to an answer, add that answer to the long list of reasons why Hillary Clinton must never become president.

The clintons are among the most arrogant people in the world. She feels invincible given all the things that she has slithered through in her career. There is NOTHING safe and secure as long as there are people on this planet because someone, somewhere is always trying to one up someone else. That is just the nature of the beast. She is a fool…an evil fool.
