As the worm turns.

Attorney General William Barr testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday on the subject of the Mueller report. Predictably, the session broke sharply along party lines. The same Democrats that behaved so abominably during the confirmation hearings for Justice Brett Kavanaugh returned for an encore with William Barr.

But unlike Kavanaugh, who at one point during his gross mistreatment had to fight back tears, Barr never flinched. And during that hearing, he uttered two sentences that should make the blood of Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, James Comey, Bruce Ohr, Hillary Clinton and a whole cast of other key Dems and DOJ officials run cold.

Said Barr;

…what we have to be concerned about is a few people at the top getting into their heads that they know better than the American people.”

He went on to say;

We have to stop using the criminal justice process as a political weapon.”

It’s now clear to any intellectually honest observer that a few people at the top did, in fact, get it into their heads that they know better than the American people. There was no way Donald Trump was supposed to survive the Republican primaries. He wasn’t supposed to win the nomination. But, somehow he did.

No matter, they reasoned. He certainly had no chance in the general election against Hillary Clinton. All the polls said so. Hell, more than a few top Republicans said so.

And yet, the unthinkable happened. Late in the evening of November 8, 2016 it became clear that Donald Trump was going to be the 45thpresident. Top Washington insiders were aghast. Clearly the deplorables and the bitter clingers and the Wal-Mart-shopping, MAGA hat-wearing dunces out there in God-knows-where-America just aren’t smart enough or sophisticated enough to know what’s good for them. Something must be done.

And thus we would come to fully understand that Democrats have no compunction whatsoever with respect to weaponizing the criminal justice process. We have learned that top FBI officials and top DOJ officials were hard at work during the campaign, during the transition and after the inauguration to prevent, derail or overturn Trump’s election. From the Strzok/Page text exchanges we know about the “insurance policy” to keep Trump from being elected.

And, of course, we know about the salacious “Steele Dossier” oppo research — bought and paid for by Hillary and the DNC – that was fraudulently presented to a FISA court as justification for spying on the Trump campaign.

There was collusion alrighty. It just wasn’t between Donald Trump and the Russians.

What we witnessed in Barr’s testimony Wednesday is the turning of the proverbial worm. The “insurance policy” didn’t pay off. Robert Mueller came up with bupkis. Having lost the election, impeaching Trump or forcing him to resign was the only remaining way for these hacks to cover themselves. That plan went ‘poof!’with the release of Mueller’s report.

And now, as Barr signaled Wednesday, the accusers are about to be the accused.

Grab some popcorn.

    You hit the nail on the head again Paul. It seems that the Dems are about to get a dose of their own medicine. Still waiting for Hillary to get what’s coming to her and Barr is just the one to do it.

    Ah yes, popcorn and a good supply of cold Fizzy Vit! We are already enjoying a comical and hysterical performance by the many actors who pushed all their chips in on the bet that Mueller would uncover something to remove President Trump from office. This hoax has not only impeded the agenda that elected him, but has done great harm to our country and foreign policy. Can you imagine how much more could have been accomplished if this cloud had not been hanging over the leader of our nation? Of course, this was the secondary objective in case the first objective did not succeed. Do not be fooled by the projection tactics of the cast, as they are accusing those who are seeking the truth of the very things they have done and are doing. Obviously, Barr is a chicken for refusing to testify before the unaccountable staff of elected members of the House, but they are heroic for abdicating their responsibility for fear of being exposed as partisan fools. It will be very interesting to watch how this drama unfolds and concludes, and I will stay with my prediction of December 16, 2017. Please refer to the archives of December 2017 and my 2nd post to Paul’s opinion article: “To Drain the Swamp, Start in the Deepest Part”. Yes, the worm is turning, and for the sake of our country, let us pray that such denizens of the swamp will be removed and not return.

  4. Good news! Trump & Putin spoke, by phone, for 90 minutes Friday. Sarah Sanders tells us they agreed that there was no collusion. NOT making that up, Google it.

    So riddle me this: If Trump is SO exonerated, why is he still acting like he’s got something to hide?

    I do hope the Dems do get a dose of their own medicine. There was nothing in the spoon when they tried to feed their “medicine” to President Trump, but now it is time to start feeding them the revealing castor oil of their very real crimes. More power to Attorney General Barr and Mr. Trump, both very strong men. It will be with great pleasure I watch them prevail against the characterless creatures of the Washington swamp.

    Newsflash, Holland….Trump doesn’t follow behavioral norms that many people expect. Some are put off by this, and some even use this as fodder for their hate, reasoning that he must be guilty of something. A behavioral norm that I expect is that hate mongers realize and learn from their mistakes when a thorough (and official) investigation shows their vicious attacks to be a big lie. I’m learning from you and much of our media that I’m expecting too much.

    Yet another enemy of Trump is facing comeuppance. In 2006 I wrote ‘Why Parents Should Fear Myspace’ a discussion of the dangers of social networking and its platforms. At that time, the platforms were happily hiding behind a last minute rider on the Communications Decency Act that said Google, Facebook and MySpace could not be held liable for what people posted or content of their musings. Today, with the revelation that Google is planning on creating “truth definitions” to combat Trump has slammed the door on them. Those decisions mean they have been behaving as a “publisher” of information. Meaning, the Communications Decency Act no longer protects them. To paraphrase the great one – see I told you so. Wonder what we will find out is true in 13 years in the book I wrote in 2018? Your are a great American, Mr. Gleiser. .
